Amret’s microcredit activity was created in 1991 as a project run by a French NGO. Started as a village-banking operation it evolved after 1995 towards a direct credit approach in order to reach sustainability more rapidly. In 2000 it transformed itself into a private limited company.
Amret’s mission is to provide a wide range of financial services that are suitable for the needs of most of the rural population : low income people as well as micro, small and medium enterprises. At the same time, Amret aims at achieving a high level of financial and social performance.
Amret offers loan services (group and individual lending) as well as deposit solutions in USD and local currency KHR.
