Société Générale de Banques au Cameroun (SGBC)
SGBC is a subsidiary of Société Générale operating in Cameroon since 1948. With 140,000 clients SGBC is the leading bank in Cameroon and has the second largest branch network in the country.

In 2003, Société Générale launched a new microfinance project, focusing primarily on Africa and the Maghreb countries where a large proportion of the population does not have access to banking services.
