Advans Ghana is a microfinance institution licensed as a Savings and Loan Company, and incorporated in November 2007 with an initial share capital of GHS 2 million. Advans SA sponsored the project and invested as a majority shareholder, along with KfW, IFC and SG-SSB (the Ghanaian subsidiary of the Société Générale Group) as co-investors.
Advans Ghana opened its first branch in New Town Road, Accra, on 9th October 2008. In 2009, its share capital was raised to GHS 4.6949 million (circa EUR 2.325 million), entirely subscribed by its initial shareholders.
