Delivering quality services at transparent and affordable rates, Advans Cameroun’s target is to contribute to the development of the MSME sector and thus promote sustainable economic expansion
History and vision: Advans Cameroun, created in August 2006 as a Microfinance Institution licensed by the Cameroonian Ministry of Finance, began operations in May 2007 and was the first Advans network greenfield. The MFI provides access to efficient and tailored financial services for entrepreneurs, artisans and MSMEs who are poorly served by the existing banking and microfinance sector.
Network: Since the opening of its first branch in Douala in 2007, Advans Cameroun has established a wide network of branches covering eight major cities in Cameroon: Douala, Yaoundé, Bafoussam, Bamenda, Garoua, Maroua, Ngaoundere and Kumba. In years to come, Advans Cameroun intends to gradually expand its existing network in order to increase its outreach and extend its existing client base.
Services: Advans Cameroun offers a simple yet adapted range of loan products including group loans, individual loans and SME loans; it has also launched rural lending schemes in several of its branches, with a view to providing financial services in rural areas. On the deposits side, Advans Cameroun offers current and savings accounts, term deposits, project accounts and Islamic accounts (Sharia compliant). The MFI also proposes a variety of services including mobile collection, the Advans Easy Cash debit card, and Western Union transfers.
