Advans Ghana’s goal is to offer high-quality, affordable financial services to MSMEs and individuals throughout the country and as such foster sustainable growth
History and vision: Advans Ghana is a microfinance institution licensed as a Savings and Loan Company; it was incorporated in November 2007 and opened its first branch in October 2008. The MFI provides adapted financial services primarily to MSMEs which have limited or no access to formal banking services. MSMEs play a vital role in the Ghanaian economy, as they generate 40% of Gross National Income (GNI) and thus represent major sources of revenue and employment.
Network: Headquartered in Accra, Advans Ghana has established branches in several areas of Ghana’s capital city, including Newtown, Okaishie, Agbogbloshie, Maamobi, Kaneshie, Teshie and Darkuman. The MFI also has also expanded to other cities in the country such as Ashaiman, Koforidua, Kumasi and Ho. It plans to continue expanding its branch network in years to come.
Services: Advans Ghana offers a comprehensive range of financial services. Loans can be granted to individual entrepreneurs or groups of entrepreneurs to finance working capital and investment. Tailored loan products are offered to SMEs. The institution’s deposit products include current and savings accounts, term deposits and kids’ accounts. In addition, Moneygram and Western Union transfer services are available to customers.
