Advans Côte d’Ivoire celebrates its 10th anniversary

Advans Côte d'Ivoire celebrated its 10th anniversary on March 23, 2022 in the Cocody-Ambassades district of Abidjan. The ceremony took place in the presence of nearly 80 guests: many partners, the management of Advans Côte d'Ivoire and staff as well as the most loyal customers of the institution.

Advans Côte d'Ivoire, created in 2012, operates through a network of 22 branches in Abidjan and within the country and employs more than 650 people. The institution now serves more than 160,000 customers with a loan portfolio of more than 65 billion FCFA.

The mission that has made Advans Côte d'Ivoire successful has not changed: supporting the growth of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises by providing them with sustainable access to simple and adapted financial products and services. The financial inclusion of entrepreneurs is asserting itself more than ever as a major strategic objective of the MFI. To this end, Advans Côte d'Ivoire relies on the deployment of innovative services, a local distribution model and the digitalization of its product offering.

Speaking at the official event, Mariam Djibo, CEO, Advans Côte d'Ivoire, commented, "It has been 10 years during which we tried to bring a different vision, a different approach to microfinance in Côte d'Ivoire. With Advans, we can work towards the financial inclusion of excluded populations and have responsible practices at the same time. With Advans, we can be profitable while having a social impact. We are able to provide local services and at the same time have more than 40% of our transactions carried out outside traditional branches.”

In 10 years, Advans Côte d'Ivoire has developed various offers adapted to the realities and expectations of disadvantaged populations. A continuous effort once again rewarded by the African Consumer Label: Advans Côte d'Ivoire has been named for the 3rd consecutive year "Best Financial Institution for Credit Service" and for the 1st time "Best Financial Institution for Agricultural Finance Offerings".
