Advans Myanmar celebrates two years of operations

On 6 April, Advans Myanmar celebrated its second anniversary which also coincided with the National Water Festival and the beginning of the New Year in Myanmar. In Mandalay branch, the day started off with a clean-up event at the river bank of Ayeyarwady that gathered over 100 staff. It aimed to raise awareness on environmental issues and promote environmentally friendly habits. Throughout the day, numerous celebrations took part, involving staff from different branches as well as clients.

 

Advans Myanmar is Advans Group’s youngest greenfield institution. It responds to the financial needs of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs and farmers. The MFI offers small group and individual loans as well as village banking loans for its clients in rural areas. Advans Myanmar has already served 37,000 clients since its launch in 2017 and has a loan portfolio of 9 million euro. In the last two years, the institution has opened 11 branches in the Mandalay and Sagaing regions and employs close to 300 staff.

By providing financial services to small businesses and other populations with limited or no access to banking services, Advans Myanmar aims to accelerate financial inclusion and provide financial stability to clients in its areas of operation, participating to long term social and economic growth in Myanmar.
