Advans supports Education

and facilitates the financing of schooling and studies

International Education Day offers the perfect opportunity to take stock of Advans’ involvement in the field in 2022, and reaffirm our strong commitment and support to families and schools in Africa and Asia.

Indeed, Advans' commitment to the local economic development of the countries in which the institution operates goes beyond the financing of micro, small and medium-sized businesses: It also involves strong support for broader Education. Advans intends to facilitate access to education for schoolchildren and students, with loans and savings offers adapted to the needs of families, and to provide schools with loan solutions to maintain their facilities, renovate their buildings, or develop their activities.

In 2022, for instance, Advans Nigeria created Advans Boost, a range of Education-related solutions: Advans Kiddies, a savings plan for children, Eduloan, a school loan for families, and Schoolboost, a loan targeted at school owners.

Advans Boost was launched last Spring, after an initial phase of internal training. Thanks to a partnership with BlueOrchard, a solid communication plan supported the launch. The institution organised school visits and an innovative essay competition for children.  Applauded by the Press, the competition scored 116 participants aged 8-13!

"This initiative was important to the entire Advans Nigeria team. We all wish the best education for our children, and to enable this goal for these families was rewarding to us all" said Kayode Abraham, Head of Marketing & Communication, Advans Nigeria.

To date, more than 1,619 prospects have been registered, about 530 credits disbursed, and more than 1,066 Kiddies accounts opened!

For its part, Advans Côte d'Ivoire offered two individual school loans and an offer combining education savings and life insurance, entitled “Reussite+”-literally meaning "Success +"- for the 2022 academic year.

Over 2,800 school loans have been disbursed, 92% of which were rural school loans, facilitated by a digital subscription process. As for Réussite+, it reached a total outstanding amount of 28M FCFA. Advans Côte d'Ivoire has already announced that it is preparing to renew these products for the start of the 2023 school year.

But Advans Nigeria and Advans Côte d'Ivoire are not the only Advans subsidiaries to position themselves as a facilitator to a broader access to education. AMRET, Advans Ghana, Advans Cameroon and Advans RD Congo also offer school loans and adapted savings solutions, and intend to strengthen their impact on inclusive education in 2023 and in the years to come.

In 2022, the Advans Group have reached an outstanding Education-related loan portfolio of 2,4M Eur, and totalled more than 58,000 deposit accounts to finance children's future and their education.
